ABOUT COCO’S
Cocos Boat Rentals is a family owned company established in 2014 and operate in Marathon, FL Keys. Our goal is to ensure that you will fully enjoy a true Keys experience, while navigating on our beautiful water on the Atlantic or Gulf side of the island through unique ecosystems full of wildlife.
The Keys present gorgeous blue waters, great fishing, unforgettable snorkeling and amazing sunsets.
We rent center consoles boats ranging from 19 foot to 27 foot. All boats are equipped with Garmin or Hummingbird GPS (chart plotter, depth finder, and fish finder) and all required safety gear. Boats are also outfitted with fish finders, depth sounders and stereos.
Your rental price is determined by the boat selected and the number of days of the rental. All boats start off with a full tank of fuel and need to be returned with a full tank.
Boat Rental carry LIABILY INSURANCE only. Renter is responsible for the vessel and any damage occurred to the boat on the rental period.
We are happy to provide expert advice on a chart for fishing, snorkeling, sandbars, and to all the local restaurants on the island, allowing you to relax and enjoy your time in the Florida Keys.
Full day and multiday rentals only. Daily hours are 8am to 4.30 pm.
CANCELLATION POLICY: For the multi-day reservation we collect a $150 deposit with a credit card by phone. The deposit amount will be subtracted from your total when you pick up the boat and pay the remainder of the balance. We require 1 week notification (7days) to cancel your multi-day reservation by email or/and phone call. If is less than 1 week notification there is no refund. Refund is $140. We keep $10 for penalty fees and we will require the credit card numbers again, as we don’t keep your deposit information for security purposes.
We only book daily (1 day) reservation 10 days in advance. A daily reservation deposit is $50, WHICH IS NOT refundable if you cancel or no show (only except for weather conditions as mentioned above will the following refunds be issued: $45 refund - $5 retained for penalty fee.
If you reserved a boat for multi-day far in advance (2 days minimum) we wont accept cancellations to drop to only 1 day rental.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
MINIMUM AGE: the LESSEE shall provide photo identification (i.e.: Driver’s license or Passport) that shows he/she was born before January 1988 to rent a boat in the state of Florida. The LESSEE aged between 21 to 36 years old may not rent a boat unless such person has in his/her possession aboard the vessel a photo identification and a Boaters Identification Card. (Safety Boating Card of any state of USA). Older than 36 years old wont need it.
EXPERIENCE: minimum 5 years operating a vessel on the ocean. If you don’t have too much experience operating a boat in open water (ocean: less than 5 years) you will need to take a Safety Boating Course online. (www.boatus.org)
LIMITS NAVIGATION: You agree to restrict the operation of the rental boat to the following described area: The waters 10 miles from shore on the Atlantic side (put you in 500/600 ft deep water), the waters 10 miles from shore on the Florida Bay Side (Gulf), and from Long Key Bridge to the end of the Seven Mile Bridge. We don’t operate outside the Marathon area.
RENTAL HOURS: You can pick up your rental boat after 8:00 am the day of your reservation and must return the same by 4.30 pm on the final day of the rental period (We don’t do half day rentals or by hour). For multiday rentals you can keep the boat overnight if you have a secure dock.
IMPORTANT: Operation of the vessel before sunrise or after sunset is Forbidden/Prohibited when is in your possession.
